When you come to the ashram,
take this golden opportunity
to make yourself new.
- Gurumayi Chidvilasananda
The Siddha Yoga Meditation Ashram Sydney in Dulwich Hill is dedicated to the study and practice of the teachings of a spiritual master.
The focus while in the ashram is on meditation, chanting of mantras and holy texts, selfless service, hatha yoga, contemplation, and scriptural study. These are the main practices of Siddha Yoga meditation.
The ashram exists for spiritual seekers because of the inspiration and love of Gurumayi Chidvilasananda and her Guru, Baba Muktananda and is filled with the Guru's blessings, enabling seekers to focus on their spiritual journey.
Home to the city's Siddha Yoga community since 1983, the Ashram's sacred atmosphere is supported with its spacious layout, quiet surrounds and peaceful gardens.
The Ashram hosts Meditation Intensives and courses and celebrates special events in the Siddha Yoga calendar. There are also programs for children and families and young people as well as the regular evening programs and hatha yoga classes.
The local
community welcomes seekers from all walks of life.
It is a spiritual sanctuary
for people of all faiths and beliefs, based on the understanding that meditation
belongs to everyone.
You are very welcome.
